IR Lights
IR light are designed to complement perfectly the user goggle, not just for matching the wavelength in nm, but in intensity and beam angle and shape. The safety of the vehicle to operate in darkened conditions under canopy or no moon.
These conditions lend themselves to adding IR to the Goggle.
If the power and beam angle are not correct then the googles will narrow their field of view and depth perception. It causes shadowing on the edge of view. It makes for a lack of clarity of obstacles ahead.
Often the instinct by users is to go wide low and very intense to get a beam that they imagine will improve the googles picture. It does the opposite.
We provide a balanced light output and sensitivity to the users field of view, as the Photons from the beam reflect back at the goggle objective lens and create the picture through the internal MCP plate. Too many electrons will overload that plate and the picture deteriorates.
